Tim Steward is an
Oxford-based artist specialising in architectural and figurative
drawing. Created exclusively in black and white they offer a unique
take on the animation and vigour of figures in movement, and the
compressed energy and life contained within the planes and angles of
a building. Tim originally trained in Town and Country Planning with
particular interest in urban design. It was here that he honed his
appreciation for the built environment which went on to have such an
impact on his personal artistic focus. He later studied classical
drawing and painting techniques at Lavender Hill Studios in London.
This background in architectural drawing has been central to his
progress as an artist, and his personal focus is now to develop a
portfolio of iconic buildings from around the world. In his
figurative drawing he seeks to capture that elusive quality of the
human spirit, whether depicting classical musicians in concert or
simple studies of people in everyday life. |
